'Genie In My Flute' By Obie Leff. I am a singer songwriter and elementary school music teacher. After years of teaching song flute and singing separately, I had an idea to integrate the two. The result is I Love My Flute, my CD of 10 original songs to sing and play on the song flute. The sing and play method lets primary grade children be successful playing the song flute right away. I've even seen wonderful performances of I Love My Flute by pre-k and kindergarten students. By the time the kids are old enough for pre-band song flute or recorder, they already know how to hold the instrument, play the notes, use proper articulation, and have a pleasing tone.
