Daniel Mantey - 'The Leaves Be Green' - (William Byrd, recorder quintet, sounds like viols!)

Daniel Mantey - 'The Leaves Be Green' - (William Byrd, recorder quintet, sounds like viols!) Tube. Duration : 4.33 Mins.

A ground on 'The Leaves Be Green' - William Byrd, ca.1600 - performed by Daniel Mantey - Music All Sorts; soprano recorder, 2 alto recorders, tenor recorder, and bass recorder. This is absolutely one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written. And William Byrd is one of my favorite composers as well. He is my "3 B's!" Originally composed for a quintett of viola da gambas, but fits the five recorders perfectly. Recorded during the Summer of 2010. On my 'Winter and beyond' CD. Enjoy!!! (Just listened, and no idea where all that rumbling is coming from; perhaps my sound is too loud for the little camcoder's mic, or it doesn't like all the high frequency flutes and recorders? I might need to re-do this one, darn, I just LOVE that video.)
