In 1970 Tutti Camarata produced an album "Tutti's Trombones" intended to exploit to the utmost the "great unexplored possibilities of the trombone". Picking some of the finest session and jazz trombone players in the United States the album became (at least for my generation) the gold standard of trombone playing and an iconic recording. Track 4 (Theme from The Pink Panther) featured the fabulous bass trombonist Kenny Shroyer in the opening theme followed by a solo jazz trombonist Dick Nash with Tommy Pederson on lead trombone in the ensemble. The album was re-mastered and re-released on CD in 1983 by Bainbridge Entertainment Co. (from which this recording is taken) based in Van Nuys, California. No copyright is claimed for this recording and no violation of ownership intended. The original LP is really difficult to find but I believe there are a few copies of the 1983 CD still available.
